Here is a screencast and accompanying slides of a talk that I gave in Chicago (2016) on my background and experiences working in American professional motorsports (IndyCar and Champ Car in particular), and includes an overview and discussion of many technical and less technical aspects of IndyCar racing, and professional motorsports in general.
Topics covered include US open wheel racing history, the nuts and bolts of professional racing, race strategy, racecar performance optimization, car tunability and setup, data acquisition and analysis, how to maximize competitive advantage, and much more.
